한국약제학회(회장 한효경)는 12일 서울더케이호텔에서 '2024 과학의 달 기념 심포지엄'을 개최했다고 15일 밝혔다.

'Pioneering New Frontiers in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology towards Novel Therapeutics'라는 주제로 열린 심포지엄은 신기술 기반 의약품 개발 관련 융복합 연구분야의 괄목할 만한 연구 성과와 최신 연구동향을 소개하기 위해 마련됐다.

한효경 회장의 개회사와 식품의약품안전처 오유경 처장의 축사로 시작된 이번 행사는 △Oligopeptoplex-loaded self-locking microneedle for adipocyte-targeted anti-obesity gene therapy(김용희 한양대 교수) △Therapeutic development using chemically modified asymmetric siRNAs(이동기 올릭스 대표이사) △Liquid-biopsy based multi-cancer early detection with exosomes-SERS-A0I(최연호 엑소퍼트 대표이사)의 주제로 발표됐다.

두 번째 세션에서는 △Exploring new directions in anticancer drug delivery system through fatty acid conjugation(박철훈 제주약대 교수) △Development of pirfenidone inhalation dosage form for patients with mild and severe idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(강지현 전북약대 교수) △Engineering nanoparticles for pulmonary gene therapy (김정환 영남약대 교수) 등의 강연이 이어졌다.

마지막 세션은 △Anbal-cel, a next-generation CD19 CAR-T product overcoming immune suppression(김건수 큐로셀 대표이사) △Researches on functional biomaterial-based composite therapy for skin regeneration(정영미 한국과학기술연구원 책임연구원) △Tissue-adhesive biomaterials for peripheral nerve repair and sutureless bioelectronics(신미경 성균관대학교 교수)의 주제 발표로 진행됐다.

한효경 회장은 "글로벌 신약 개발과 미래 수요 창출을 위한 무한 경쟁의 시대에 첨단 제약바이오기술에 대한 학문적/산업적 역량의 함양은 매우 중요하며, 이에 현재 국내에서는 첨단 융복합 바이오제약기반 신약 개발에 대한 기대가 더욱 높아지고 있다"고 말했다.

한 회장은 이어 "한국약제학회는 이를 위해 최신의 연구기술과 성과 확산을 통해 신기술 기반 융복합 의약품 개발을 포함한 미래가치 창출 및 신약 개발 패러다임의 변화에 기민하게 대응해 국내 제약산업의 발전에 이바지하고 약제학의 학문적 발전을 선도할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 덧붙였다.
