The $306 million CMO contract, announced on March 6th, marks a continuation of the initial $41.7 million agreement signed in 2017, showcasing Samsung Biologics' exceptional competitiveness in the CMO sector.

UCB, known for its five epilepsy treatments, including the blockbuster therapy 'Bimzelx,' has sustained a partnership with Samsung Biologics for seven years since the inception of the CMO contract in 2017. This extended collaboration further solidifies their joint efforts within the pharmaceutical industry.

Samsung Biologics attributes its enduring partnership with UCB to its world-leading production capacity (CAPA), unparalleled speed competitiveness, and consistent high-quality standards, instilling trust among its clients. The company emphasizes its achievements, boasting a remarkable batch success rate of 99% last year and accumulating 268 regulatory approvals as of the end of February this year. These milestones serve as a testament to Samsung Biologics' outstanding quality capabilities throughout the entire pharmaceutical manufacturing and management process.

Capitalizing on its formidable competitive position, Samsung Biologics has expanded contracts with 14 of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies. With a cumulative order amount of $12 million and last year's orders reaching $2.8 billion, the company continues to thrive in the global biopharmaceutical market.
